Lecturing at FHR


 

Overview:


FHR combines the expertise of lecturers from abroad with local academic staff. FHR offers lecturers from abroad an appropriate package of services.

Preparation:


FHR contacts lecturers two months before arrival to make final arrangements regarding learning material to be provided to the participants and for their travel and stay.

The services FHR offers to lecturers are:
  • Booking flight tickets, the preferred carrier being Suriname Airways.
  • Making hotel reservations, the preferred location being the Eco Resort which is on walking distance from the city centre.
  • Applying for a visa if required.

The Stay:


Upon arrival at J.A.Pengel International Airport, lecturers will receive their visa and arrangements will have been made for transport from the airport to their hotel and v.v.

FHR also provides transport from the hotel to the institute and back when needed.

Lecturers are welcome to use FHR’s facilities during FHR opening hours every day of the week. The available facilities include a private cabinet with computer, printer, Internet and a conference table for 4 persons and the the library.

FHR staff will be available during office hours and lecturing to assist with office services like photocopying and printing.

Feedback:


In order to make improvements as required FHR will ask lecturers after their stay for their feedback on the quality of the services.
